Green Smoothie Recipe

I’m not a fan of green smoothies, they’re usually not quite sweet enough for my tastebuds and in all honesty…they tend to taste a lot like the garden. This one though, is THE one. It taste so good and it’s full of vitamins that will really set you up for the day. It’s the first green juice I actually properly like, I’ve had four of these in the past three days! Green Smoothies are a great way to get extra plants into your diet, this one has a touch of lemon which accompanies the sweetness of the apple perfectly.

Green Smoothie Ingredients: (Makes 2 glasses)

  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 handful of mixed salad leaves
  • 1 apple
  • 1 glass of water
  • 1 glass of rice milk (or any plant based milk)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • I also add the magnesium & collagen powered supplement I take which is vanilla flavoured and goes really well! If you have a powdered supplement or protein, it’s great to add it into smoothies.

Method:

Pop all of the ingredients in a blender and mix! This will keep over night in the fridge if you’d like to make an extra big batch.

    I’m not that fond of green smoothies either but I do want to start drinking more smoothies and making them myself! This looks like a good recipe though so I might just have to try it out when I start to make my own smoothies! Thanks for the recipe share πŸ™‚
