Homemade Granola Bars

These are possibly one of my favourite breakfast things I’ve ever made! They are full of so much goodness and perfect to grab as you run out of the door in the morning. These homemade granola bars make a great on the go snack too and have lots of energy boosting ingredients. You can add any other nuts, seeds or dried fruit to this and if you fancy changing the honey for a plant based syrup knock yourself out!

Makes 14-18 Bars

Homemade Granola Bar Ingredients:

  • 3 Cups of oats
  • 1/4 Cup of hazlenuts
  • 1/2 Cup of walnuts
  • 1/2 Cup of flax seeds
  • 1/4 Cup of sultanas
  • 5 Tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp of almond butter
  • 1/2 Cup of coconut sugar
  • 6 Tbsp of honey

Method:

Mix all of the ingredients together thoroughly, I usually mix it in a food processor however you could just mix it in a bowl. Take a tray and pack the mixture into the tray really tightly. You’ll need to push it down hard. Refridgerate and cut into bars.

    These sound amazing! I have such a big love for granola bars and flapjacks, especially the healthy ones. I’ve never been able to make a really good granola bar, the ones I’ve made always seem to fall apart. So I’ll have to try this recipe out πŸ™‚

      Ooooh Kayleigh! Let me know if you do try them and how it goes, I found that jam packing it really tightly int the tray helps to keep it all together and refrigerating it too!
