Hello my loves, Happy Wednesday!
I can’t believe we’re on number 13 of 2017! Unlucky for some? I hope not!
I must say I really need this burst of loveliness midweek this time around as I’m struggling through the week. I think it’s a mixture of a roller coaster of seasons in single days (weather, make your bloody mind up will you?!) and being back at work for a full week, however I am definitely looking forward to the three day weekend coming up! I plan on reading, drinking plenty of tea and maybe eating pancakes. Actually, there’s no maybe about it, pancakes must feature. On that wonderful note shall we get on with THE wonderful?!
.: Reading – I went so long without reading properly, by reading properly I mean finishing a book in less than three months. I’ve had a few books lent to me over the past couple of weeks and I find myself craving some book time. Great story lines and all the cosy feels. I’m a bookworm at heart and nothing warms my little soul like snuggling up under a blanket, fairy lights on and cat by my side with a mug of hot tea in one hand and a good book in the other. I’m open to any book recommendations you have so please let me know what you’ve been loving reading lately!
.: A much needed hot chocolate. Yesterday lunch time I was feeling pretty under the weather, very headachey and lethargic. I had pure cacao in the cupboard and rice milk in the fridge but nothing to sweeten it with until I discovered some organic sweeteners in my cupboard. I added a drop of vanilla essence and BOOM, everything in the world was a little bit brighter after that.
.: A weekend of blogging. I spent the weekend at home, drinking tea, cuddling cats, catching up on my favourite blogs and creating two new recipes for my own blog. The lemon nibbles came out tasting soooo good, and if I’m honest they were gone by the time Sunday evening rolled around. The tupper noodle idea is something I’ve been eating for lunch for a while now and it works so well when you have zero time and fancy a hot lunch. I managed to create a video for each of these recipes too, I don’t know if they’re needed or helpful so I’d love your feedback on that!
.: Green Smoothie. Oh my goodness, during my usual end of month empty cupboards raid I found an apple, some spinach, some rice milk and mixed salad leaves. I popped it all in a blender, and oh my goodness the yummiest green smoothie I’ve ever tasted was born.
.: Early nights. I’ve never been one for sleeping much, between four and six hours a night max was as much as I could manage up until recently. There’s been a huge change and I’m getting a minimum of eight hours a night. At weekends it can go up to nine, or dare I even say it, ten hours! I was in bed by 9:30 on Saturday night and oh my goodness, it really was the best feeling ever. I guess I must need it, and I’m definitely not complaining.
.: Clean Windows. I’ll admit right here, right now, I’m not a fan of cleaning windows. In fact it’s a job that gets done maybe once every six months but I tackled this task a few days ago and it’s lovely having shiny clear things to look through again.
